Welcome to beaubots
Intro
Welcome to the Beaubots Family! We are an FTC team based in Austin, Texas. We have been participating in FTC for 3 years, and we currently mentor more than 3 teams, and have raised over $250,000 for robotics.
Our Robots
beta robot v1.0
Used in the 2022 season during the qualification rounds, this robot was our very first to kick us off in the Powerplay race. Although the robot helped us reach state, the robot had many problems.
sparky v2.4
This is the most recent robot, used in 2022 from district to state, and was the best robot of the entire season. This robot helped us achieve incredible scores and help us an award in state.
outreach
We are more than just a robotics team. We don't want to limit ourselves into just winning robotics competitions, we want to make an impact in our community. Currently we are mentoring 3 robotics teams, we are helping raise money and awareness for robotics and STEM in our school district, and we are consistantly having robotics information nights to make sure kids in our neighborhood not only know about their avaliable opporunities in robotics, but also how they can get started on their own.

Coaches and Mentors
Ms. lei
Lead Coach
Ms. Lei has 20+ years of C++ programming experience. She met with our team weekly during the season and helped us with team management principles like project timelines, milestones, budgeting, taking meeting minutes, and logistics. She also helped us secure a $5000 AMD sponsorship so that we could get additional equipment that was essential to this season’s success. Ms. Lei also provided coding mentoring during the season, as needed.
mr. manish
Mechanical Coach
Mr. Manish has over 24 years of experience as an engineer in companies like Apple and Qualcomm. Throughout the build season, he would join us in the garage, observe our robot and hear our ideas, then give guidance. He helped us think through problems differently so that we could improve the robot. Overall his help has made our robot much more efficient and effective.
ms. krista
Outreach Coach
Ms. Krista is a former Senior VP at CBRE. Since retiring, she has logged thousands of volunteer hours coordinating school-based enrichment and serving on boards of non-profits. We initially met with her to discuss outreach ideas. She also helped us figure out how to arrange a middle school robotics info night, speak at a school board meeting, and contact school board Trustees, inviting them to our garage and local FTC comps. She has helped us arrange meetings with people who have the power to expand robotics in our school district but did not previously know anything about robotics.
Ms. Daisy
System Design Mentor
Ms. Daisy has 20+ years of experience as a software and system engineer at Dell and Teradata. In the past few years, she has been coaching and mentoring the youth robotics teams such as FTC and VEX, closely. Ms. Daisy helped us build and experiment the ultrasonic distance sensors for better robot's localization during off-season. When season started, Ms. Daisy helped us on brain-storm, structure design, hardware and software integration, strategy analysis, etc. She would like to see the team to create a competitive robot yet still with the mindset of reliability.
